A town that takes weather seriously
Uxbridge does not need convincing about what a storm cell can do — the May 2022 tornado that came down Brock Street settled that argument, and the summer thunderstorms that build over the moraine still arrive with the same suddenness. When one of those cells carries hail, the township’s vehicles are unusually exposed. Rural properties park in the open because the garage holds the tractor; commuters leave cars in uncovered lots all day; and a hay field offers exactly nothing to shelter under. Ten loud minutes later, a hood and roof carry dozens of shallow dents and the decisions begin.
The first decision is documentation. Photograph the car where it sat, in even light if you can get it — angled shots show hail dents better than straight-on ones — and note the date and time. Hail is a comprehensive claim, not a collision claim: no fault is assigned, your premiums are not carrying an at-fault incident, and your comprehensive deductible is the number that matters. Send the same photos to us and the file starts moving before the storm has cleared the county.
What honest hail repair involves
Hail damage ranges wider than it looks from the driveway. Small, soft dents in the middle of a roof skin are one job; hits that cracked paint, creased a swage line, or caught the edge of a panel are another; and a car that took stones on every horizontal surface is a third. Our estimate maps the damage panel by panel — count, size, and whether the paint survived — because that map is what the insurance company adjusts against and what determines the right repair for each panel rather than one blanket method.
The repair itself is bodywork done properly: dents worked back to shape, panels refinished where paint was broken or metal stretched, colour matched to the car as it has aged and blended so the roof does not outshine the quarters. Where a panel is damaged past economic repair — aluminium hoods are the usual case — replacement is quoted with our OEM-parts preference argued to the insurance company. Everything refinished carries the lifetime paint warranty, which matters on a repair spread across the most visible surfaces of the car.

After a storm, the queue is the real enemy
A hailstorm creates a hundred claims in an afternoon, and the shops nearest the storm book out within days. Being 55 km away flips from a drawback to an advantage: our schedule is not buried under the same storm, and the photo-first process means your place in our queue is secured before you drive anywhere. We triage honestly — cars with broken glass, cracked paint, or exposed metal come in first, because those get worse with weather, while cosmetic-only hail can safely wait for a convenient slot.
One practical warning from experience: hail brings out itinerant repair crews who canvass storm-hit towns with same-day offers. Whatever their pitch, your insurance company pays the same benefit at an established shop that will still exist when a warranty question surfaces next spring. Take the photos, call (647) 594-3401, and let the owner set the plan — drop-off timed to your schedule Monday to Saturday 8 AM to 7 PM, Sundays by appointment, rental through your coverage if the repair spans several days.
