A city of full parking lots
Markham may generate more parking-lot dents per capita than anywhere else we serve. Pacific Mall’s garage wraps tight around its concrete pillars, and the quarter panels that meet those pillars arrive here with paint transfer to prove it. First Markham Place overflows every weekend, which packs the rows tighter and swings more doors into more fenders. Markville’s lot adds the reversing crowd, and on Main St Unionville the parallel parking is so snug that door-edge dings are practically a local custom.
The other Markham dent is seasonal. January windrows across Wismer and Greensborough driveways crease the lower doors and rockers of anyone who misjudges the push-through, and Cornell’s rear laneways — a lovely idea until you meet your own garage post in the dark — put the same crease in at garage height. None of this is dramatic damage. All of it is visible every time you walk up to the car, which is exactly why people fix it.
Fix the metal or swap the panel — the call we make in front of you
Not every dent deserves the same repair. A shallow crease in a steel door with unbroken paint can often be worked back and refinished as a single panel. A sharp-edged dent that has stretched the metal, cracked the paint, or landed on a body line takes filler work done properly — skim coats, not sculpture — before refinishing. And sometimes replacement is simply the better economics: a dented bolt-on fender can cost less to swap and paint than to massage back into shape, and we will tell you which side of that line your dent sits on.
Aluminum panels — common on newer hoods and tailgates in Markham’s driveways — behave differently than steel and are less forgiving to work, which changes the estimate. This is also where honesty pays: if a dent is purely cosmetic and the quote is close to your deductible, we say so plainly, because a claim that saves you fifty dollars is not a favour.
Claim it or pay cash — the photo decides
For dents, the first question is not how but whether — whether the repair belongs on an insurance claim at all. Many Markham dents land under or near a typical deductible, and paying out of pocket keeps the paperwork at zero. When another vehicle caused it and you know whose, a claim through your insurance company makes sense and we run it for you; when a stranger dented the car and vanished from the Markville lot, we help you sort which coverage responds before anything is filed.
Every path starts the same way: photos to (647) 594-3401, a written figure back fast, and your decision made with real numbers instead of guesses. Book the repair and we reserve the bay and any paint time in advance, so the 404 trip happens once. Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM; Sundays by appointment. Refinished dents carry the same lifetime paint warranty as our collision work.
