Serving Leaside · about 13 km from the shop
Leaside is about 13 kilometres from our door in North York — Bayview Avenue north to the 401 or Eglinton west to the Allen puts you at Keele and Sheppard in roughly 17 to 25 minutes.
Why Leaside drivers make the trip
Leaside was laid out when a family owned one narrow car, and today it parks two wide ones — which is why so much of what the neighbourhood sends us starts in a shared driveway, on the Bayview shopping strip, or in the big-box lots off Laird. When the damage is worse than a scrape, Ontario law says the repair shop is your decision, whatever list your insurance company reads out. The owner looks at your photos himself, sends a written number back fast, and runs the claim from our office from the first photo to the final inspection.
Around Leaside: Bayview Ave shops · Laird Dr · Sunnybrook edge · Leonard Linton Park
Your insurance company can’t choose your shop — in Ontario that choice is always yours. Here’s how that works.
South Leaside’s streets — Sutherland, Rumsey, Airdrie, Bessborough — were drawn in the 1930s, and the houses came with single mutual driveways and back-lot garages that now hold bicycles and hockey gear instead of vehicles. The result is a very specific damage diet: mirrors folded against fences, quarter panels dragged along hedges, and door edges met by the neighbour’s trim in a driveway two cars were never meant to share. Add the Bayview strip between Millwood and Eglinton, where parking happens nose-first into a lively street, and the Laird corridor’s grocery and hardware lots, and Leaside produces a steady run of low-speed bodywork that has nothing to do with bad driving and everything to do with geometry.
The faster damage happens at the edges. Millwood funnels commuters over the Leaside Bridge toward Overlea and the DVP every morning, and the lights at Laird and Eglinton and at Bayview and Eglinton collect the surge-and-stop rear-ends that crack bumper covers and the absorbers behind them. School mornings around Rolph Road, Bessborough, and Northlea tighten the streets further, and the early-ice crowd at Leaside Memorial Gardens backs SUVs full of equipment out of a dark lot before 7 AM. Different corners, same outcome: damage that looks small from the sidewalk and needs the covers off before anyone can price it honestly.
From most of Leaside you have a clean choice. Bayview runs north past Sunnybrook straight to its own 401 interchange, and the 401 west drops you at Keele a few minutes later. Or take Eglinton west to the Allen, ride it north to where it ends at Sheppard, and we are two minutes west of there, off Keele just south of Sheppard. Either way plan on about 17 to 25 minutes in ordinary traffic — honest numbers, not brochure numbers.
Most Leaside customers never make the trip twice. Send three photos first — the whole corner of the car, the damage up close, one wide shot — and a written estimate comes back fast, so the drive you do make is the one that starts the repair. If a rental is part of your coverage we line its pickup up with your drop-off, and the shop is open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 7 PM, with Sundays by appointment for the weeks when a weekday hand-off will not work. A car that cannot move safely stays where it is: call (647) 594-3401 and we help arrange the tow.
Ontario’s DCPD rules mean that when you are not at fault — entirely or partly — your own insurance company pays for your vehicle’s damage, with the percentages set by the province’s Fault Determination Rules. Give your insurance company notice promptly; your policy expects to hear within seven days. If anyone was hurt, or the combined damage looks likely to pass $5,000, the collision also needs to be reported at a Collision Reporting Centre. After that, the file becomes our work rather than yours: we open the claim, deal with the adjuster directly, push for OEM parts wherever the repair touches safety, and document supplements with photographs when teardown finds what the first estimate could not see. Paint and refinish work carries a lifetime warranty, and replaced parts carry a parts-and-installation warranty — both in writing when the keys come back.
Leaside questions
Straight answers before you commit to anything — and a human on the phone when you want one.
Usually Bayview north to the 401, then the 401 west to Keele — about 17 to 25 minutes. When the 401 is crawling, Eglinton west to the Allen works nearly as well: the Allen ends at Sheppard, and we are just west of it, off Keele south of Sheppard.
Distance matters less than who owns your file. Here the person who writes the estimate, plans the repair, and answers the phone is the owner — one person, start to finish. Your policy covers the repair at the shop you choose anywhere in Ontario, and the photo estimate plus rental timing means the extra kilometres cost you one drive, not extra days.
Run the math before you file. A scrape along one panel often prices near a typical deductible, in which case claiming gains you little. But scrapes that reach metal or cross two panels cost more than they look. Send photos and we will give you the real repair number so you can compare it against your deductible with both figures in hand.

Reviews
The line we hear most: “I couldn’t tell where the damage had been.”
Honestly, I thought my car would never look the same again — but they completely proved me wrong. I couldn’t even tell where the damage had been repaired or repainted. The paint matched perfectly, and the bodywork was flawless.
My car was in an accident and the entire rear was damaged. They replaced the rear bumper and tailgate, and the paint job was perfect — matched flawlessly. The quality of work exceeded my expectations.
Very quality service and fair rates. The staff was professional, honest, and kept me updated throughout the whole process. My car looks brand new again.
Absolutely the best auto body shop I’ve ever used. The paint matched perfectly and the car looked brand new again. They handled everything smoothly and finished on time.
