A trucking city is hard on its cars

The quieter damage comes from how Brampton parks. Households here run more cars than driveways were drawn for, so doors open into doors on the double-wides in Springdale and Fletcher’s Meadow, and street-parked cars collect mirror clips overnight. January ploughs leave windrows across every driveway mouth, and pushing a bumper through one scrapes the cover and packs it with ice. In the newer Mount Pleasant blocks the garages are tight enough that the first scrape on a rear quarter is almost a move-in ritual.
