Shallow dents in accessible panels can often be worked back without disturbing the surrounding finish; deeper strikes that stretched the steel or cracked the paint get repaired and refinished, blended so the new surface reads as one with the old; and a roof or hood peppered past economic repair gets replaced outright — arguing with two hundred dents in one panel is money wasted. Hail lands under comprehensive coverage, which changes the character of the claim: no fault to argue, no other driver, no Fault Determination Rules — just your deductible and the documented damage. Ontario has no special glass rule, so a hail-cracked windshield runs through the same comprehensive coverage with your normal deductible. Report the damage promptly, photograph the car where it sat, and resist the urge to wait: hail dents left through a winter collect salt and moisture in every paint crack, and a cosmetic claim slowly becomes a corrosion problem.
