The hits that bend structure come off the commute
Neighbourhood streets rarely bend a frame; the commute does. Those impacts put energy into the structure, and modern unibody cars are designed to absorb it by folding in engineered zones.
That design saves occupants and complicates repairs. A car can drive away from a crash with its rails a centimetre out of position, and the symptoms show up later as doors that need a slam, a steering wheel held off-centre, or tires wearing on one shoulder. If your car has been hit hard enough that panels needed replacing, the structure underneath deserves measurement — not a visual once-over — before anyone declares it fine.
Measured, pulled, measured again
Structural repair here is arithmetic, not eyeball. The vehicle goes on the bench, laser measurements get compared against the manufacturer’s reference points, and the readout says exactly which rails or aprons sit out of tolerance and by how many millimetres. The pull happens in controlled stages, rechecked as it goes, and the final measurements are documented so your file shows the structure returned to factory position — proof that matters for the claim and for any future buyer running a UVIP on the car.
Everything bolted to that structure has to agree with it afterwards. Suspension geometry gets aligned, panel gaps confirmed, and on newer vehicles the driver-assist sensors — cameras and radar aimed from the structure the crash disturbed — are checked so the safety systems see the road the way the factory intended. A straightened frame with an unaligned radar is half a repair, and half is not a standard we return keys at.
Straight talk when the math turns against the car
Not every bent structure should be straightened, and the honest version of this service includes saying so.
