Hail is a driveway problem in this town
When a thunderstorm cell tracks along the top of the GTA in June or July, Richmond Hill is squarely in the lane — the moraine ridge at Oak Ridges seems to catch its share, and the storm that pelts Lake Wilcox often reaches Jefferson and Mill Pond minutes later. Sharper strikes that stretched the metal, dents along panel edges, and any hit that cracked or chipped the paint need conventional repair: the metal worked back to shape, then primed, colour-matched and refinished with a blend into the surrounding panels.
Aluminum hoods — common on newer SUVs in Richmond Hill driveways — are stiffer about giving dents back and are assessed accordingly, sometimes tipping the maths toward replacement.
