Ontario collision coverage carries your deductible, so a $600 door ding against a $1,000 deductible is not a claim — it is a cash repair, and we will say so before you waste a phone call. Damage from an identified driver who hit your parked car is different: that can run through DCPD as a not-at-fault claim to your own insurance company, deductible often waived, which turns a parking-lot note on your windshield into a properly funded repair.
